I.D.E.A. brings education and entertainment together through community-driven events, creative experiences, and skill-building opportunities that spark ideas, celebrate diverse talent, build connections, and open new possibilities across the United States.
Igniting Delaware Edutainment Association (I.D.E.A.) is the Delaware-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit behind TEDxWilmington, Ladybug Music Festival, and the Women’s Musician Coalition. At the heart of what we do is a belief that more voices deserve to be heard.
A primary driver of our work is creating visibility and opportunity for people who have historically been underrepresented, especially women and people of color, while helping creators, educators, youth, and emerging leaders build skills, share their voices, and turn ideas into opportunities.
That work comes to life across four areas.
Through media, storytelling, leadership, and creative experiences, youth ages 12–18 build confidence, develop skills, and find their voice.
Artists, speakers, performers, and creators gain opportunities to reach new audiences, elevate overlooked voices, and give talent room to grow.
Curiosity and creativity make learning more engaging, helping educators and learners explore new perspectives and make ideas stick.
Through mentorship, microgrants, and creative entrepreneurship support, local talent builds skills, explores careers, and turns passion projects into sustainable work.
